Mommy! Go to bed, you have to get up early.

I should probably have gone to bed a couple of hours ago. But I get hooked on something I am designing and I can’t quit. I can’t tell you how many times I have woken at 3am, the TV playing an informercial (love those things!) and my fingers still draped across my laptop keypad, my head either tilted back (throat dry from snoring) or hung over like I passed out. I should just shut it off at 9, close my eyes and sleep like a normal person. But I am not normal. I am a designer….a web junkie. I just know some important message is going to come in at 4am. I don’t know what I did before I got my blackberry. I sleep with it. Sometimes at 2 in the morning, it rings that I have a new email message. Yes, I wake up and check it. Sometimes I respond. How impressive is that for my customers? I’m like a doctor, on call with their brochure or website questions all through the night, ready to save the graphics at a moments notice! I need a red cape. And maybe some silky eye covers. I am getting so tired….
